As any family will know having a child that needs to move to a home for permanent care is a heart-rendering decision.That decision was taken for my aunt Evelyn when she was just 15, so for all of my life she has been in different institutions. I am not going to go into what I felt about some of those places, but what I can tell you is Evelyn was never happy. That is until my aunt Betty moved South and managed to get Evelyn transfered to Milestone House, by then I was an adult and had been living and working overseas for some time. When I returned home to visit Evelyn nothing could have prepared me for the in difference in my aunt. I can only call it a contentment as if she had come home; Evelyn was at peace with the world. I met with Linda who looked after Evelyn and was truly amazed at what Evelyn had been up to, out to lunch, shopping in the mini bus, watching a show, and loving the music, she made things for us and we will be forever grateful to Mr Martine and all the staff.
